Ripple Reveals 2024 Crypto Predictions: SEC Crackdown to Continue, Regulation Will Keep Pressuring U.S. Crypto Firms
December 20, 2023
Ripple (XRP) expects the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, SEC, to continue its crackdown on the cryptocurrency industry. Additionally, he expects that the U.S. Congress will be divided over the best way to regulate cryptocurrencies and that “U.S. cryptocurrency companies will continue to struggle while the rest of the world is making significant positive progress.” Ripple predicts that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s legal battle against XRP will be completed in 2024. The lawsuit against Ripple will end. However, the SEC's actions by imposing regulations on other industry leaders will continue. Judges will continue to be the last line of defense against the SEC, and the SEC will continue to lose important issues in court — setting the stage for a Supreme Court showdown.
Prediction No. 3: Congress will agree on cryptocurrency regulation in principle, but disagree on the best course of action, leaving U.S. crypto companies in limbo while the rest of the world makes significant positive progress.
